Ystavanpaivaa odotellessa teimme esikoisen kanssa pienet yllatyspussukat koulukavereille. (Siis puhumme koulusta vaikka kyseessa on meidan paivakotia vastaava = pre school.) Ensimmaisena ystavanpaivana taalla oli aikamoinen yllatys kun neidin lokero oli taynna jos jonkinmoista pussia ja korttia jne. Eihan me tietenkaan oltu osattu varautua tallaiseen. Sen jalkeen kyllakin ollaan oltu valmiudessa, jos ei minkaan muun asian suhteen ystavanpaivana, niin ainakin sen etta koulukavereille on jotain. En kovasti itse tykkaa etta taalla lapsille tyrkytetaan joka puolella tikkareita ja karkkia. Meidan pussukat eivat koskaan sisalla karkkia. Aina on keksitty jotain muuta mukavaa yllatykseksi.
I'm still waiting. Forecast promised 10cm of snow for today. It was sleeting a bit in the morning. After that: absolutely nothing. Radar pictures don't promise anything from the sky. :( So our dreams of getting the sled out today were crushed.
While waiting for the Valentine's Day to arrive the first born and I made little goodie bags for her school friends. (We always talk of school even though it's a pre school.) It was a real surprise on the first Valentine's Day here to find her cubby full of all kinds of goodie bags and cards. Without knowing to prepare for this, obviously, we were not prepared at all. After that we've always been ready and good to go in regards to having goodie bags for her school friends. I myself don't like about the fact that here people try to push candy and lollies to children everywhere. Our goodie bags never have candy. We've always come up with some other kind of surprises.
