Siis pikkuneidin villatakki. Ok, se ei todellakaan ole taydellinen. Mitat meni vahan pieleen jos ajattelee kokonaisuutta. Villatakin pituus on liian lyhyt jos ottaa huomioon leveyden ja hihojen pituuden. :( Tein tarkoituksella isomman kuin mita ohjeessa oli, mutta silti pituus jai uupumaan. Pituus on passeli juuri nyt ja viela pari kuukautta, mutta kun hihat ja leveys alkaa olemaan oikeata kokoluokkaa neidille niin sitten pituus jaa lyhykaiseksi. Unohdinpa sitten taysin, etta meidan vauveli huitelee pituudessa ihan omilla kayrillaan. Tasta lahtien muistan varmasti. Muuten olen tyytyvainen lopputulokseen. Takakappaleen isommat tummemat laikut verratuna hihojen ja etukappaleiden kuviointiin ei haittaa ollenkaan. Ihan yhta leveaa satiininauhaa en loytanyt kuin ohjeessa pyydettiin, mutta lahelle kuitenkin. Tama kyseinen ohje loytyy kirjasta Itty Bitty Nursery, Susan B. Anderson. Neuletakin kanssa olisi myos yhteensopiva hattu ja topposet mutta taidan ainakin ne topposet jattaa tekematta. Mietin viela sita hattua.
Esikoisemme tuli eilen pyytamaan, etta opettaisin hanta virkkaamaan. Neiti yritti sita puoli vuotta sitten Momin kanssa mutta siita ei silloin viela tullut mitaan. Nyt hiirenhantaa on syntynyt ihan mukavasti eika todellakaan mitaan megalomaanisen isoja silmukoita vaan ihan nattia tasaista ei liian tiukkaa ei liian loysaa hantaa. Oikea ote on viela hakusessa mutta loytyyhan se ajan kanssa. Nytkin tuo tuossa vieressa istuu virkkaamassa.

The little one's cardigan is done. I admit it's really not perfect in any means. The measurements are bit out if you think of the whole cardigan. The length is too short to the width of the cardigan and the length of the sleeves. I made the cardigan bigger on purpose but still the length was not enough. Lengthwise the cardigan would be perfect now but it will be few months until the sleeves and the width would be good for the little miss at which point I have a suspicion it will be too short. I totally forgot that our baby girl is drawing her own graphs above everything on the paper every doctor's visit. From now on I'll definitely remember. However, I'm very satisfied with the end result. The bigger darker spots at the back piece do not bother at all in comparison with the color pattern of the sleeves and front pieces. I couldn't find quite as wide ribbon as the pattern was asking but the one I used is good enough. This particular pattern was from Itty Bitty Nursery by Susan B. Anderson. There's also matching hat and booties but I have to think whether to make them or not. I think I'll leave the booties at least out this time. Still thinking about the hat.
Our first born came yesterday to me asking if I would teach her to crochet. She tried it about half a year ago with Momi but then it just didn't work. Now she's been making chain stitches and creating quite a good amount of "mouse tail". Have to give her credit on the fact that the stitches are not megalomaniacly loose or super tight. The result has been nice, consistent chain. The correct hold is still in the works but it will come with time. Even now she's sitting next to me chaining away.
