Hikista touhua / Sweaty job

Kyllahan sita jotain kivaa aina perjantai 13. paiva kunniaksi pitaa tehda.
Nautin tutuista makuelamyksista, saunasta, kunnon kavelyteista, laiturilla istumisesta, uimisesta, lasten leikkien katselusta, ystavien tapaamisista.... Tuntui kuitenkin hyvalta tulla kotiin.

You alwasy have to do something fun on Friday the 13th. We packed ourselves in the car and drove to a nearby Smolak Farms. We fed deer and admired the little fawn. In the hot and sunny weather the animals (chickens, goats, ducks, lamas etc.) didn't have energy to get enthusiastic about us. They just laid in the shadows and stared at us under their eye lids. We were especially carefully scrutinised by a black lama, who did look quite aggravated. Younger of our offspring was ecstatic about the animals but the older one did know that lama's spit and made sure she was not too close to the black one.
And as we went there, of course we had to pick some berries. Some raspberries and I picked a small tub of white currant. There were some gooseberries as well but not really worth mentioning at all. We all got hot and sweaty in our picking job, also the one sitting in the stroller. We decided that we have renew our picking effort on a cloudy day as today the sun was shining from clear blue skies and the temperature was +32C/89F before noon. It did feel quite hot after the temperatures we had on our Finland holiday. Ice cream never tasted so good and refreshing. (With my luck the battery ran out in my camera so I most of the pics are just snapshot with my phone.)
So, we have returned from our Finland holiday. It was wonderful! I enjoyed the food, sauna, proper walking paths next to the roads, sitting by the lake, swimming, watching the children play, meeting friends... However, it did feel good to come back home. Living out of a suitcase is not much fun and traveling alone with two kids was really not a holiday for me (jet lag awakenings during the nights, full time job 24/7 as always ;D).
