Downton Abbey: Luku 1 / Downton Abbey: Chapter 1

Tiedan etta olen ehka myohassa taman aiheen kanssa mutta olkoon. Kyseessa on siis BBC:n historiallinen TV sarja Downton Abbey. Toinen tuotantokausi loppui taalla pari viikkoa sitten. Me olemme katsoneet ensimmaisen seka toisen tuotantokauden vasta sen jalkeen. Harvoin loytyy sarjaa, josta todella pidan ja tama iski suoraan sydameen. Ihan ehdoton suosikki! Katsottavana on viela viimeinen jakso. Sen jalkeen onkin edess pitka odotus etta kolmas tuotantokausi alkaa. Kaikki tuossa sarjassa on osunut kohdalleen. Tarina henkilohahmoineen, nayttelijat, toteutus. Taattua BBC laatua.
En ollut kuullutkaan koko sarjasta vasta kuin kuukausi sitten ensimmaisen kerran. Aloitettuamme sen katsomisen tajusin etta olin nahnyt esimmaisen tuotantokauden alusta osan muutamasta jaksosta Suomessa lomalla ollessani. On se taallakin tullut televisiosta mutta eipa sita ole pahemmin mainostettu. Harmi sinansa silla en ole kuullut yhta negatiivista sanaa tasta sarjasta. Jopa mieheni on samaa mielta kanssani siita etta sarja on todella hyva. Sen verran Downton Abbey puri minuun, etta meinaan katsoa sen uudestaan tulevina yksinaisina iltoina (mies tyomatkoilla). Taytyy myos myontaa etta ostin kaksi kirjaa ja CD levynkin sarjaan liittyen. Musiikki sarjassa on ollut ihana. Jopa pikkuinen on lattialla leikkiessan pysahtynyt joka kerta kuuntelemaan tunnusmusiikkia, ja kun tunnus on loppunut on myos leikit jatkuneet. :)


I know I'm kind of late with this subject but oh well, then I am. :) I'm talking about the BBC historical TV production "Downton Abbey. The second season just ended here couple of weeks ago. After that we've been watching both seasons, nearly done with them. It's very seldom that a TV series hits me like this and this one definitely hit straight to my heart. I love it!!!!!!! We still have one more episode, the last one of season 2, and after that it's a long wait for the third season. Absolutely everything in that series is a roaring success. The story, characters, actors, production. Guaranteed BBC quality.
I had not heard about the whole series until about a month ago for the first time. After we started watching it I realized I had seen few bits from the few first episodes while I had been in Finland for a holiday. It's been on TV here as well but I haven't seen it advertised which is a shame. I have not heard a one single negative word about Downton Abbey. Even my husband agrees with me that it's really good. Downton Abbey made such an impact on me that I intend to watch it again during lonely night (husband will be going away for business). I must also admit that I bought two books and the soundtrack related to the series. I adore the music in the series. Even the little one has stopped her playin on the floor when she hears the opening tune and when it ends she continues to play on her own. :)
