Elainkauppaa ja kirjastoa /Pet store and library day

Piti kayda hakemassa lisaa koiranruokaa. Elainkauppaan meno on aina ohjelmanumero. Ennen kuin mennaan sita ruokaa sielta kaupan peralta edes etsimaan niin pitaa tarkistaa mita elaimia kaupasta loytyy ja mita ne touhuaa. Tanaan nahtiin fretteja, marsuja, hamstereita, undulaatteja, hiiria, rottia, kilpikonnia, erakkorapuja, erilaisia kaloja ja pari sisiliskoa. Hiiret olikin mukavia katsella kun oli kovasti vilinaa. Olivat kehittaneet ruuhkan juoksupyoraan. Se oli niin taynna hiiria paallekain kuin pyoraan vaan mahtui ja osa yritti toiseen suuntaan ja osa toiseen. No eihan se mihinkaan liikkunut. :) Pienen ihmisen ilo oli taattu kun sai kaikkia naita otuksia tutkailla.
Kirjastoonkin oli pakko menna palauttamaan edelliset lainat seka uutama uusia kun ei mamma ole saanut aikaiseksi lukea tarpeeksi.  Kirjastossa lastenosastolla on pieni kilppari nimelta Murphy. Lapset rakastavat Murphya. Kaikki kayvat aina moikkaamassa Murphyn kun tulevat sinne. Kiva kuunnella "Hi Murphy!" "Hello Murphy!" huudahduksia lasten tullessa ja tottakai Murphy pitaa hyvastella kun pois lahdetaan.
Isompi neiti oli loytanyt kirjahyllynsa perukoilta Shakespearen tarinat nuorille (ok, ei ehka ihan viela seitsemanvuotiaalle). Ilmoitti haluavansa lukea ne kaikki. Okei. No, mina rupesin sitten niita kirjoja katsomaan. Romeo ja Julia, Henry V, Antonio ja Kleopatra, Kesayon unelma, Macbeth, Hamlet, Myrsky, Loppiaisaatto. Hmmmmm. Annoin luvan Kesayon unelmaan. Epailen ettei tykkaa mutta kokeilkoot. Muihin sanoin etta joutuu pistamaan viela takaisin hyllyyn ja odottamaan pari vuotta selitettyani minka takia. Olen vielakin ihan hakeltynyt etta neiti toi minulle Shakespearen kirjat ja haluaa ehdottomasti lukea ne. Oli nimittain aika pettynyt kun selitin miksi en halunnut viela muita lukevan. Meidan neiti. Lukee Shakespearea seitsenvuotiaana. :O

Going to the pet store is always such a treat for Little Miss. Before we go even looking for the food at the back of the store we always check all the animals and what they are doing. Today we saw frets, hamsters, guinea pigs, budgies, mice, rat, turtles, hermit crabs, all kinds of fish and few lizards. The mice were fun to watch as they were so active. They had created a traffic jam in their running wheel. There were so many mice in the wheel and all trying to go different directions that the wheel was completely "stuck" and not moving at all. :)  Oh the joy of Little Miss seeing these small animals.
We had to go to the library as well to return some books and renew few that this mummy had had not time to read. In our library's children's department there's a little turtle called Murphy. Murphy lives there are all the children love him. It's so much fun to hear all the " Hi Murphy!" "Hello Murphy!" greetings when children come in and of course they say good bye when leaving.
Big Miss had found from the back of her book shelf a set of junior Shakespeare books (well not quite for a 7-year-olds). She announced wanting to read them all. OK. Well, I started looking at the books and leafing them to determine the language and detail of the story. Romeo and Juliet, Antonio and Cleopatra, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Macbeth, Hamlet, The Tempest, Twelfth Night. Hmmmm. I gave her permission to read the A Midsummer Night's Dream. The other's I told she would have to put back in the shelf and wait for few years after explaining why. I'm still quite flabbergasted that Big Miss brought me the Shakespeare stories wanting to desperately read them. Our Miss. Reading Shakespeare at 7 years of age. :O
