Voitto sukasta / Winner feeling

Voitto kotiin!
Pienista asioista nama vanhempien ilot syntyy. :D

I feel like a winner! I finally finished the socks I started in October. First sock was ready few days before our move and I had my needles and yarn with me in Florida but I didn't get anything done there. Blaaah! But now I have a good reason just to sit and finish them. :D I feel happy. The only thing I'm a bit annoyed is the fact that both skeins (I used one skein per sock) had a knot in them and caused an unexpected and abrupt colour change. I love the colours. The picture won't give you the truth. I used Drops Delight purple/green mix. The pattern is from my own head. I have decreases along the way in the back to give it a form fitting feel.
Even though my foot is still sore and I've tried my best to rest it it's quite hard when rest of the family don't take the doctor's rest orders quite so seriously. I have lots to do before my mother leaves so I'm trying to get the foot better as soon as possible. We need to go rug shopping (so much easier without children) and now mum is bit of stuck here in the house with me. After my mother leaves there's no way to rest it.
Yesterday I did disobey doctor's order by walking from the car to the cinema and back to the car and from the car to a restaurant and back to the car. :) We had a date night with my husband. We went to see Hobbit 2 and then had dinner out. You have no idea how nice it was to spend few hours without the children, eat in peace without having to worry about children, picking up crayons from the floor (most restaurants give out crayons and something to colour on for the little guests), making sure that the girls are eating properly and eating without having to take some one to the bathroom. Little joys of parenthood. :D

    1. Thank you Aurelia! The colour on these are so lovely.... I agree! I'm sorry I don't speak romanian at all. I did recognise the language though. :) I'm glad you have found my blog. Hope to see you again!
